Agent evaluation

Measure the work. Not just the answer.

Scope evaluations that check whether an agent leaves a business workflow in an acceptable state, under the right policies.

Turn a vague failure into a testable task.

An agent can write a convincing confirmation while leaving an order unchanged. An evaluation needs to inspect what happened, alongside the constraints that matter to the business.

A scoped pilot can establish where an agent succeeds, where it fails and which observations or policies expose those failures. Its purpose is evidence for the next engineering decision.

01

Agree what success means

Identify the required end state, prohibited changes, required approvals and legitimate paths for escalation. Avoid treating one historical execution as the only valid answer.

02

Make results comparable

Record model versions, tool definitions, agent instructions and retry budgets. Run repeated trials where variability matters.

03

Report useful limitations

Separate task errors, tool errors, policy violations and scoring defects. Preserve held-out tasks and document what the evaluation does not establish.
